Injustice 2 has achieved superstardom in a relatively short amount of time. Since its inception, the game has been well-received by the masses. It’s hand down one of the best games of 2017. Injustice 2 may be the Prime Minister now, but let’s not forget the King. Injustice is a sequel to the people-pleaser game, “Injustice: Gods Among Us.” Launched in 2013, the action-packed game was nothing short of a bombshell. It was able to beat most of its competition by a landslide.

It was pretty rare for an action packed game to have a good story line. Injustice: Gods Among Us changed the dynamics of the game over here by pumping in a compelling narrative story for an action game. The story and the battles were tightly woven together. It almost gave a sense of an actual fighting movie. As a result, the game was able to enjoy mega success. Injustice 2 took over from its ancestor in 2017 and is going strong ever since its launch. Believe it or not, it saw a record number of sales in the launch week itself.

For the game dummies out there who have missed the train, here the wild backstory of “Injustice: Gods Among Us,” the sequel of Injustice 2. The entire plot is based on the fictional universe of DC Comics. As such, the game was published by Warner Bros and developed by NetherRealm Studios. As a free to play app, it was released for IOS and Android users. Players had to choose one character from the roster and combat opponents to advance further in the game.

The backstory is set within an alternate version of the Justice League’s universe, where a Joker tricks Superman into killing Lois Lane. The Superman is tricked into believing that Lois Lane is a powerful villain Doomsday. A fight follows, and the Superman emerges victories. He takes the fight to space, where, of course, Lois Lane was easy to be defeated. No, don’t start your guess work now because the real drama is about to unfold now!

When Superman comes back to his senses, he realizes that he has been fooled into killing his own wife. Yes, Lois Lane was his wife. To top it all, she was pregnant at the time of her murder. After realizing that he has beaten his own wife to death, things only get wilder from there. He sets out to create some kind of crime free dictatorship to put a stop to all sorts of crimes happening in the community. Basically, the Superman loses his mind. In an attempt to stop the Superman from creating all kinds of ruckus, Batman summons some of the League’s members from another universe to end the dictatorship.

So, with an emotionally sincere plot, enticing interface, and amazing fighting features, the game was able to steal millions of hearts across the globe. It became the highest selling game in UK and USA during the release month. As we all know, the popularity paved the way for its sequel, Injustice 2 and the game is continuing the age-old tradition of taking the gaming world by storm. So, the sequel did not let the original one down. Judging by its growing popularity, it’s clear that both the games will attain a hall of fame prejudice.
